Answer #1

1. There were difficulties faced or encountered during recording of foods and drinks for three typical days . I used to just enter my record of what food I ate in the notebook and maintained the record . I was not entering the calories or quantity of food or drinks ,then I took the help of DRI and other nutrients chart to enter the calories and amount I took each day for an affective evaluation.

2. DRI is dietary reference intake ,it is a set of reference value used to assess and plan nutrient intake for individuals. The changes I want to make in my diet is amount of calories according to my requirements ,increase in fruits and vegetables rather than fatty and oily foods which is providing me extra calories and fat and increase in water intake because I take only 500 to 800ml of water a day .

3. Areas of concern that the diet analysis brought to light is my water intake and amount of fruits and vegetables intake ,both the intakes are less than the required amount which would result in serious health issues in future .

4. Calorie intake is the amount of calories we take in the form of food and caloric expenditure estimate is the amount of calories burned in form of exercise , other activities or by not taking food(fasting). If the calorie intake is more and expenditure is less then it will lead to obesity and if the calorie intake is less and expenditure is more then it will lead to underweight .
