In your own words, describe and discuss the three most important legal issues in human resources management. What will you do as a manager about to deal with these three important issues? (150 words minimum).

Grade will be based on length of response, extent to which the question was answered effectively, and proper use of grammar, sentence construction, and punctuation.

The most important legal issues in human resources management are:-

1. Discrimination - when someone is denied a job for a non -job related reasons .

2. Equal employment opportunity - the right to employment without regard to race , religion ,colour ,sex ,etc.

3. Affirmative action - an effort to give preference in employment to women or other minorities . Employment criteria justified by capacity to perform a job .

4. Comparable worth - persons performing jobs of similar should receive comparable pay

5. Compensation - employees should be given compensation for the malpractices done by the organization

6. Labor relations - some bad relations between employees leads the development of the psychological aspect of enmity and tries to harm the other employee

7. Employee safety and health - the organization has the sole responsibility of the safety and health of its employee at the workplace.

8. Sexual harassment - sexualy harassing the employee solud be taken to the court

9. Employee privacy - privacy of the employee has to be maintained by the organization

10. Development of policies - developing policies which are against the welfare of employees should be uprooted .

The three important out of these are:-

- Discrimination

- Employee safety and health

- Sexual harassment

As a manager , anyone who breeches the policies or work against the rules and regulations of the organization ,violating the terms will be suspended for a period of time without pay and if he /she repeats the behavior again then direct termination will be given . The actions will be taken by having evidence from both sides , no bias, and no approaches will be considered .
