In today's corporate world, overworking has become common. There is a lot of pressure on the employees to meet the deadlines, effectively complete the project, meet customer needs, satisfy the clients etc. Sleep deprivation and stress is not uncommon.

All of this impacts the performance of the employees. Lack of mental and physical well being impacts the productivity, as a result, performance of the employees goes down, thus, affecting the organisation as well.

It is important for a project manager to spend money and resources to evaluate the psychology of the project team. If there is stress and mental tension amongst the team members, the performance might go down which is a cost to the company. Hence, it is essential for a project manager to monitor the mental health of the team. This will help him or her to help the team in a suitable manner and increase the team productivity.
