If you were in charge of deciding who gets organs, what would be the three most important rationing criteria? Age, ability to pay, cognitive capacity, citizenship status, how sick you are, how many extra years the organ will give you, or something else? Explain why you picked those three.

Organ transplant is a growing market in healthcare sector .Here ethics and legal decisions or overrided by medical and logistical decision plays a key role.Being an incharge to decide who gets the organ depends on certain conditions like

• how urgent it is needed to save a life (if the patient status is very critical and if an organ transplant has a good acceptance rate and low rejection then this patient can be selected irrespective of age because everyone deserves the rights to live)
• Comparability which can reduce rejection
• An availability of proper organ size in accordance with recipient are difficult to get and if received that patient van be given preference
• How many extra years one can live should be considered because the transplant is done to prolong life so a good prognosis patient can be most beneficial by an organ transplant.
• Distance from the hospital where the donor is because the life time for kidney and heart are very less

Some of the criteria which should be never used to decide on who gets the organs are

• Financial status:this is a legal issue or a sort of medical practice by not selecting the patient when they are in the eligibility list
• To known or close persons who are in need of organ can be against jury
• On the base of race ,ethnicity is an act of violation
