1. Autonomy is defined as the potential of a person to make informed decisions. an example of autonomy in nursing is that, a well educated nurse knows how to handle or deal with patient's symptoms.

2. Beneficence is defined as the concept of charity and kindness with strong moral values. for example - nurse providing the medication urgently to the patient.

3. Fidelity is a set of beliefs, honesty, and loyalty of a person. for example - a patient is requesting a nurse to not reveal his/her personal information.

4. Justice is being impartial and fair. for example - regardless of patient's economical status, nurses and doctors recommends the best treatments for them.
