Describe common disturbances in fluid and electrolyte balances.
Fluid and electrolyte balance go hand in hand. The homeostasis of the body can be maintained when both are in normal limits hence keeping the electrolyte in normal range.Euvolemia is the Normal status where as hypovolemia (increased fluid volume) and hypervolemia (decreased fluid volume) are fluid imbalances .Electrolyte controls the functions of heart, lungs, maintaining pH of the body, balancing the central nervous system and all the vital organ needs electrolyte to function normally. The common imbalances are sodium (hyponatremia or hypernatremia) potassium (hypokalemia or hyperkalemia ) calcium (hypocalcemia or hypercalcemia).
A mild fluid electrolyte imbalances can lead to headache ,fatigue .Moderate level can lead to disease conditions and severe imbalances can cease the function of vital organs and cause death.

1) What may be the medical treatments for the patient to correct either their fluid and/or electrolyte disturbances? Are there any medications that the patient can be on that can disturb their fluid and electrolyte balance? Which ones and how so? How can you see if a fluid or electrolyteimbalance was corrected? What is the nurses’ roles in correcting the fluid/acid base disturbances? What is the definition of dehydration with respect to fluid and electrolytes? If the patient is dehydrated...
Discussion 19 - Fluid and Electrolyte Balance Acid-base balance is regulated by a number of systems. Describe the sources of respiratory acidosis and alkalosis as well as metabolic acidosis and alkalosis.
What is the role of the kidneys in fluid and electrolyte balance?
nutrition
why is fluid balance vital during exercise periods? How are water and electrolyte balance achieved? Fluid balance is vital during exerase because that is when you lose water and may result in denyaran if not drinking enough water phor or during excercisingo In order to achieve water electrolyte Palance ou must consume 11-24 or of Pluid for every 16 of body weight Describe the health benefits of exercise for a person with heart disease and for a person with...
