The action of the common drugs used for fluid and electrolyte imbalance are :-

Diuretics - loop diuretics mechanism of action is inhibition of exchange of Na -Cl- K in the thick segment of the ascending loop of Henle. Loop diuretics example - furosemide , torsemide

Acidifiers - are the drugs used to produce acidity. These are used to acidify the urine to prevent infection, sufficient acidity for the digestion of food

Mechanism of action - Halogenation.

Examples of acidifiers are - gastric acidifiers like dilute HCL , urinary acidifiers , acids like acetic acid etc .
