In your opinion, what are the most two effective prevention strategies to address childhood obesity?
Describe these two strategies and give reasons why you think they are the most important ones?

Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to an extent that it may have a negative effect on health. The number of overweight children in the United States has increased dramatically in recent years. Approximately 10 percent of 4 and 5 year old children are overweight, double that of 20 years ago. Overweight is more prevalent in girls than boys. The two most effective prevention strategies to address childhood obesity are :-

- Health education to the parents about healthy diet for their children like eating less fat and sweets , avoiding g watching TV while eating , avoiding fast food etc .

- Encouraging physical activity . Increasing physical activity of children by motivating them to take part in more of the outdoor activities rather than indoor activities.

These are the most important strategies because healthy diet and physical activity are the basic level concepts of a human being ,when these two aspects are well balanced ,there is adequate growth and development of the individual and prevents being overweight ,obesity and malnourished.
