To know or to evaluate the appendicitis by abdominal examination is : mainly here includes history collection and physical examination.

History collection regarding dietary habits.

By asking open ended questions, regarding previous abdominal problems ect.

Physical examination mailnly depending on nine regions and four quadrents, in these the appendix is located in right lower quadrent.

* by keeping supine position we need to palpate for some important signs in appendicitis.

McBurneys point : client get tenderness while palpating on right side of the below the umbilical region.

Obdurator sign : by internal rotation of flexed knee leads to right lower quadrent pain.

Psoas sign : by hyper extension or flexion of right hip client get abdominal pain.

Rovings sign : right lower quadrent pain when pressing on left lower quadrents. By rebound tenderness. It is important sign in appendicitis.

Dunphys sign : it is elicited by voluntary cough of the client. So during coughing he will get pain in right lower quadrent.

These are the important signs we will seen in appendicitis.

Regarding all these steps to be do the simulation on the client dummy, by nursing educators , to perform on clients to rule out diagnosis.
