Health Belief Model is one of the models of behaviour change theories.it influences the action plan to follow up with a community after a failure is observed.Readiness to act is required for individual behaviour change.There will be no action if the community doesnt percieve themselves as susceptible,or doesnt percieve severity in the situation.Some of the intervention strategies for factor in the Health belief model are percieved susceptibility,severity and benefits and barriers .percieved stability works by asking the client if they think they are at risk or have the disease/condition;educate on disease risk and link to diet.Explore ambivalence to change.it tailor information on disease/risk factors to promote accurate perception of risk.Through  percieved severity they explore ambivalence related to risk,discuss potential impact on clients lifestyle and educate on consequences of disease /condition.Benefits are motivational interviewing,summarize and affirm the positive and explore pros and cons of change.This model is good for designing individual behaviour change strategies.
