Standard of living and live style of individuals are connected to the cultural heritage and social values of the society in which the individual duels.Over all reaction and empathy shown by the society towards the individuals who are struggling in adverse situations of life may vary a little,but throughout the world,good hearts will feel the the pain of the miserable and might at least dream of a Utopian world where all lives in prosperity and finds themselves sitting around the common table of brotherhood.

Now let us analyse the umbilical code which connects the begging and life decisions taken by individuals with the culture in which he finds himself.

Poverty has same definition anywhere in this world.When a person fails to meet his basic living standards and when he fails to meet his basic minimum nutritional intake,such situation can be brought under the general idea of poverty.Different Nations deal with poverty in different ways.The ethos which guides individual Nations might also differs.But generally speaking,everyone dream of a world were poverty is no more.Till the last drop of tear remains in the eyes of the last man,work will be there for the humanity to try for a better world.

Wars,chaos,anarchy,internal disturbances and external aggression pushes Nations and societies to the brim and as a result common public suffers.These situations pushes people outside their area of well being and as a result they might find themselves in situations where they either need to beg for a living or should decide to end their lives.When a person decides to end his life by committing suicide,we need to imagine the severity of the kind of miseries and mental depression which he is going through.Society have a moral responsibility to bring such individuals up and to help them come out of their miseries.Society might not be able to solve problems of every individuals but cant definitely wipe out the tears which is emulating from hunger and unemployment.

The way in which a society responds to the hardships and sufferings of the marginalized sections shows the level of mental as well as emotional maturity which it has collectively achieved.When a society is in well off condition,it can address social issues in a more efficient manner.The empathy with which the Nation/Society treats and deals the social evils which pushes a person to beg is determined by the level of over all advancement which the Nation/Society has achieved.The way in which a social issue is addressed might be entirely different in different geological locations.

Ideologies,perspectives,religious thoughts,character,personality,morality etc are just some of the factors which affects a person to help out a fellow being who is suffering.The same might also guide the person who is the victim of poverty. For a Nation/Society,these factors might take the shape of macro issues which affects the State such as general debt,inflation,unemployment,other socio-economic factors.

In order to give a clarity on what I have mentioned above,I am taking the case of India.India being second most populated Nation in this world,it has a wide range of issues to address in order to bring out millions of people who still lives under the poverty line.India is a land of religions,languages,cultures and ideologies.Unity in diversity is India's strength and irrespective of the Government which is ruling the Nation,the basic underlying principle of the Government is the overall upliftment of millions of marginalized children of India.

Innumerable charity works are going on in India which are both State sponsored as well as run by private entities. A famous sanskrit slogan encapsulates India's guiding principle in this regard.It is "Vasudaiva kudumbakam" which means all living creatures are on one way or another related to everyone else and all the men and women are your brothers and sisters and the world as a whole is one family.When this idea is in our mind,we feels a kind of empathy towards the sufferings of others as that person is a reflection of our own self.

Society owes a living to all those who have been pushed into the grasp of poverty and to all whose who have been denied a level playing field.When an individual gets enough support from the society in which he dwells,he himself will find the ways to bring himself up and to give something back to the society which has helped him to come out of the dark phases of his life.
