Some of the similarities and differences from data collected by a nurse when giving care using Questionnaire vs interview are as following

  • Similarities
    • In both the patient demands,needs are addressed
    • A collective information on the type of care can be obtained
    • needs two sides a questionnaire or an interviewer (health care professionals ) and a respondent (patient, patient relatice)
  • Differences
    • Questionnaire Interview
      The patients can be multiple and a written form is considered and inexpensive There is only one patient and generally in verbal communication and expensive
      The clinical data can be collected on grounds of observations The clinical data can be collected on the grounds of information provided by the patients
      It is time consuming It is quicker
      The content can be manipulated i

      It can be manipulated on the grounds patients request.

  • The principle in improving the collection of clinical data are
    • The payients shoukd be given ample time with more options
    • There should be an evidence based solution for the collected data
    • Read ,measure the quality of the data collected
    • Implement the work on the basis of priority and needs of the collected data
    • Interpret the results with evidence
