Answer #1

Inflammation is the process by which repair takes place when injury to living tissues occur. It may be acute or chronic depending on number of days inflammation continues. To start inflammatory process, many cells are required. They move towards site of injury by chemical substances that are diffused from area of tissue damage and make a concentration gradient. These substances are called chemotactic factors and one way migration of cells is called chemotaxis. So the process of chemotaxis is responsible for communication and coordination among these cells.
