Answer #1

ANSWER.

    9) Calculation of mg/kg/hr.

       Formula

              ml/hr = mg/kg/hr * weight(kg) * drug volume(ml) /Drug concentration(mg).

     So

           mg/kg/hr = ml/hr * Drug concentration / Weight * Drug volume.

   Here

         ml/hr = 120 ml/hr.

         Drug concentration = 1000 mg (1 gm).

         Drug volume(ml) = 250 ml.

         Patient weight = 125 pounds

Convert pound to kg for calculation

          1 pound = 0.454 kg

   Patient weight in kg = 125 * 0.454

                                   = 56.8 kg.

As per above formula

             mg/kg/hr = 120 * 1000 / 56.8 * 250

                            = 120000 / 14200

                            = 8.45

                            = 8.45 mg/kg/hr.
