1. How can you apply this theory to nursing student? minimum 150 words.
2. Depending on the age group of the student, do they know and understand the true difference between a consequence and punishment? minimum 150 words
1. Answer.
Detailed given by Dreikurs , teachers face problem because they want obedience rather than co operation from students, according to him children and adults can become friends with mutual understanding, co operation and sharing common goals.
It focuses on the influence of society on human behaviour, he said human being is a social being thus all behaviour include misbehavior, and motivation is the key of behaviour in a setting,
Every student behaves in classroom according to his own behaviour not by the social setting, and if those behaviour are not acceptable it creates problem, to correct those mistake of children rather than punishing him encourage him or her to do in right manner , encouragement plays an important role in creating behaviour rather than punishment , participation of student with teacher could play an effective role in establishing behaviour, accept the individual and involve him in behaviour developement.
This can be applied for nursing students as well to achieve optimum goal.
2. Answer.
Dreikurs didn't believe in punishment and praise but he focuses on encouragement , to prevent discipline problems encouragement is the key technique ,because if a child is misbehaving that means he is a discouraged child, encouragement emphasis on efforts taken by student rather than achievement.
Consequences and punishment.
1. If a student always write on the wall of school.
Punishment -- the teacher may tell her to stand outside the classroom.
Consequences-- the teacher may ask the student to clean the Wall.
2. If a student damages materials of classroom.
Punishment-- the teacher may inform parents or send a note to parents.
Consequences-- the teacher may tell student not to use classroom things untill he stops damaging.
3. If a student comes late .
Punishment-- the teacher may keep him or her after school.
Consequences-- she will tell student to stay at the door and she will make sure his late coming will not affect class .
