Answer #1

By Aliquot method,

The graduate calibrated from minimum 2mL to maximum 10mL. So a total of 8mL.

0.4mL X 5 = 2mL.

2mL contains 0.4 mL of drug X.

For dilution preparation,

2mL X 4 = 8mL.

8mL -2mL = 6mL flavoring vehicle should be added.

Therefore, 1: 4 dilution method is used  (2mL of drug X, 6mL of flavoring vehicle)

2mL How many mL of drug X should you use?

5 what multiplier did you use?

6mL How many mL of flavoring vehicle should you use?

2mL what is the volume of mixture that contains the required amount of drug X?
