1) precontemplation - maynot see the changes- discuss personal barriers.

Contemplation- thinking about changing/aware of problem- emphasis benefits of taking small changes.

Preparation- ask the patient to slowly increase the duration of physical activity to see the changes

Action - start implementing the new strategies to see the changes and should have motivational plans of seeing changes.

Maintenance- sticking to the plans for a minimum of 6 months and having adherence to the physical activities of daily living is very important for the prevention of disease.
