#. The medical condition is Impetigo . It is a skin infection caused by staphylococci, streptococci bacteria. The affected parts are exposed areas of body , face ,hands ,neck , and extremities .

#. Pathophysiology :-

It is caused by staphylococci , streptococci bacteria . Contagious ,spread by contact with the patient , and patients equipment which are soiled by the exdute of lesion .

#. Treatment include :-

- Agents for nonbullous impetigo : benzathine penicillin ,oral penicillin , erythromycin

- Agents for bullious impetigo : penicillinase -resistant penicillin or erythromycin

- Topical antibacterial therapy for 1week.

#. Additional education required for the patient and family include :-

- Teach proper use of antiseptic solutions to cleanse the skin and reduce bacterial content and prevent spread .

- Educate them to wear gloves when giving care to patients

- Advice them to bath atleast once a day with bacterial soap.

- Encourage cleanliness and hygiene to prevent spread

- Advice them not to share soap ,towel etc and to avoid physical contact with the infected patients until lesions are healed .
