Discuss characteristic findings of immune dysfunction for either hypersensitivity reactions or AIDS. Explain what symptomology the patient would exhibit and how these symptoms may complicate daily living and relationships.

Answer: The immune system is the body guard as it provided protection from disease and microbes invasion. But due to decrease immunity or the attack of virus on the lymphocytes makes our immune system weak. The problem occurs when the T and B lymphocytes becomes weak. In the case of HIV, the virus attack the T cells. This causes elimination of production of cytokines. Hence this causes immune system unable to fight with the virus.

The symptoms occurs such as:

  • Prone to disease
  • Weight loss
  • Hair loss
  • Depression
  • Multiple diseases
  • Fever, nausea.  

These symptoms effects the daily living as patient becomy depressed, unable to takecare of himself. The disease makes him weaker unable to perform or does any kind of task.
