In a paragragh between 3 - 6 sentences in length. Answer the following question: After adolescence, bones stop growing longer. They do, however, continue to grow. Compare and contrast the differences in the way bones grow, between length vs remodel vs repair. Highlight the growth plate, the role of osteoblasts/osteoclasts, and hematomas.

Bones gain their greatest size and strength during adoloscense.Bones in the hip and spine builds up speedily during puberty.During the growth the gain in bone mineral mass is mainly due to an increase in bone size with very little change in bone density ( the amount of bone tissue present within the bone).After the areas of ossification meet and fuse ie,at the time of skeletal maturity, no longer the bones can grow in length.However the bone is constantly being replaced in the process of bone remodelling by means of osteoblast and osteoclast.Bone repair is a natural phenomenon where the bone repairs itself after a fracture.The growth plate(epiphyseal plate) is the area of growing tissue near the ends of long bones in children and adoloscents.Each long bone has atleast 2 growth plates ,one on each end. The growth plate determines the future length and shape of the mature bone. Osteoblast helps in bone formation,while osteoclast is involved in bone resorption.These together initiates bone remodelling.The natural process of healing a fracture starts when the injured bone and surrounding tissue bleed,forming a fracture hematoma.Blood coagulates to form a blood clot situated between the broken fragments.
