(a) The cycle time = time available / no. of units to be produced = 9.5x60 /450 = 1.266 min = 75.96 sec =76 sec.

(b) Theoritical min, number of workstations = task time /cycle time

= sum of time taken by all activities / cycle time = 348 / 76 =4.57 =5
