Answer #1

The characteristics of life which are shown by viruses are:

  • Have nucleic acid as the carrier of genetic material. This characteristic is seen in almost all living organisms. DNA/RNA acts as the genetic material and is transferred from parents to offspring.
  • They have proteins and glycoproteins like normal cells
  • They can produce more of their kind. (with the help of host). This can be treated as reproduction.
