Answer #1

Fyre festival was the festival that promised great music events and artist performance with luxurious stay at island with best food, adventurous stay at Bahamian island. However, Billy McFarland, the founder of his organization and in particular this event was later on charged with fraud and sentenced to imprisonment with hefty fine. The fraud included duping many investors and cheating on several people charging them for most of the quality services which were not found to be delivered at the event. People who bought ticket for this event did not get quality stay, washrooms, food, and delay in performance of artists, mismanagement of almost everything etc.

Quantitative decisions would have been used for management of the event of such costly nature wherein the prices of everything were so high and a lot were at stake of investors as well.

The managers and founder should have the mission along with vision to accomplish the success of this event however, they intentionally ignored the factors and decision making they should have incorporated to make this event a success one.

They shall have used decision tree such as quantitive decisions to make a tree of all the factors that they would be considering in such a island. Like manager would made several alternative to a given situation and would have prepared in advance to have the alternative at place to put it in action for making better comfort to people in all possible situation. The founder and management shall have done risk assessment and future forecast and feasibility of the scale and nature of the event and the resource and mechanism they would have adopted and utilizing all those into effective means for making event a success one. They shall have analysed all decisions well in advance and could have made the event much better as promised.

Talking about the ethics, the event organizer misrepresented the whole event and given a false impression to people of having a best event with using all best way and means for promotions but failed to deliver the same. They shall have either returned the people money if they had failed to or knew that they could not provide the nature of event they promised.

Personal leadership philosophy should have been applied wherein the person Mac far land shall have known what he has to do that is he shall have clear vision and mission and he shall have deliver onto it after promising to people and investor. He shall have stood to his conviction of organizing the event in the manner and picture he showed to people and should have displayed honesty and transparency in what he was doing and what would have been actually offered to people at event.
