Answer : Malware is also known as malicious software. It is a computer programs which is designed to damange and infiltrate computers without the users. It covers all the different types of threats to computer safety like viruses , worms , trojan etc.

1) LockerGoga : LockerGoga is a type of ransomware that came in 2019. It infected large corporations in the whole world such as hydro. It is estimated that it caused millions of dollars in damage. LockerGoga involves phishing scams , malicious mails and credentials theft. It is consider as a vey dangerous threats because it blocks access to the system of victims.
2) WannaCry : It is one of the worst ransomware attacks recorded in the history in 2017. This threat exploits vulnerability in windows. It is estimated that almost 200,000 people have been reached worlwide including Large companies. They lost 4 billion USD.
3) Cryptolocker : Cryptolocker is most famous ransomeWare in history. It was release in 2013, it used very large encryption key which made the expert's difficult. It was estimated that it damage 3 million USD and infecting more than 200,000 windows. It was mainly distributed via mails and through malicious files that looked like PDF but wasn't.
4) Melissa : It infected large number of computer worldwide by the end of 1999. This threat was spread by email. This used the malicious word attachement and catchy subject like "Important messaage from (someone's name). Melissa is one of the earliest cases of social engineering in history. This virus has ability to spread automatically through email. It caused almost 80 million USD.
5) Emotet : Emotet is a trojan that came in 2018 after US Department of Homeland Security defined it as a most dangerous malware. Emotet is widely used in cases of financial information theft sucha s bank logins. Emotet is spread in the form of spam and phishing page.
6) Zeus : Zeus is also a trojan which is distributed through mlicious files hidden in emails and fake websites. It is known for copying keystrokes , which is widely used in case of credentials and password theft such as bank accounts and email accounts. It hit the major big companies.
