During translation, the information in the mRNA is coded as proteins. tRNA that brings the aminoacid towards the mRNA id called Aminoacyl tRNA. The anticodons of tRNA binds with the codons on the mRNA. The ribosome that attached to mRNA has 3 sites called E site, P site and A site.

The first amino acyl tRNA binds to P site and the from the second amino acyl tRNA's, all bind to the A site. As the Ribosome moves from 5' to 3' direction of mRNA, the aminoacid from P site tRNA transfers to A site tRNAtRNA by GTP hydrolysis. Further ribosomal movement causes P site tRNA exits out ththrough E site then A site tRNA comes to the P site leaving A site free for next amino acyl tRNA to bind. In this manner the process continues.

If (ANTI CODON) on the tRNA matches the (CODON) on the mRNA, the tRNA is locked on the place due to the (PEPTIDE BOND FORMATION). The final step in the elongation is the ribosome ratcheting down the mRNA and the spent tRNA exit out through (E site).
