Perception can be defined as the meaningful sensation. Perception might be happened by our every sense organ.
Circular perception
This is basically the perception of navigation or motion.
The vestibular system of our body controls the system of motion perception. This also plays important role in spatial movement and navigation. There are many mechanisms of perception which are identified to describe the vestibular system.
Ø Visual Cues for movement
Eye, this sense organ is most effective for perceiving the motion. There are some particular brain cells which only respond to the motion or moving objects. Human visual structure also indicates that the motion detectors are existing in the brain.
Ø Visual stability
By the reflex mechanism also known as kinetic movement, eyes try to pursue moving objects for keeping the image movable on the area of retina.
Ø Relative visual movement
In a visual system, familiar thing provides a framework against another motion for being judged. Some people reported that in a dark room, a point of light which seems to be movable. This is known as auto kinetic movement.
Ø Aftereffect of the movement
It arises probably when the motion detectors in the brain respond to main direction of movement became so much tired, leave predominant detectors which respond to the contrary motions.
Ø Apparent Movement
For an example, in case of cinema strip, apparent movement can be described as perception of a still picture as moving object.
