Answer #1

Strategic human resource management is an effective way where human resource managers hire and train employees according to their organizational strategy in order to improve performance of their business. For example- human resource managers of IKEA have planned to hire only Chinese staffs for their stores in China which is their strategic goal to grab the local market.

Strategic human resource management develops a steady organizational culture that fosters innovativeness, flexibility, and competitive advantage to the organization. It encourages employees to work in a culture that helps achieving both individual goal, and organizational goal. For example- human resource managers of Walmart motivate their employees to insure a greater chance of organizational success.

Steps to strategic human resource management are as follows:

• Developing understanding of organizational objectives

• Evaluating human resource capability

• Analyzing the current HR capacity to achieve goals

• Estimating future HR requirements

• Determining required tools for successful completion of jobs

• Implementing human resource strategies

• Evaluating all HR corrective actions
