According to Hardy weinberg equilibrium, a population is set to be under ideal conditions or in a non living condition if no mutation, migration, natural selection and genetic drift are acting upon the population. The population is large in size and shows random mating.

Mutation is heritable change in DNA which may or may not affect the phenotype of the organism carrying it.

Migration is also called as gene flow and it is the incoming and outgoing of individuals from a population.

Natural selection is a force which helps in the selection of beneficial traits and elimination of harmful traits and thereby helping an organism to survive better in its environment.

Genetic drift is the loss of our alleles from a population due to natural calamity or anthropogenic factor.

All of these evolutionary forces change allelic and genotypic frequency cross generation in a population resulting in evolution.
