Answer #1

As compliance manager is responsible for program planning, policy enforcement so that the legal and ethical issues within the organization are kept up to date. In case of health care facility, I do believe compliance manager having a administrative background or experience is necessary as they will be in better position while decision making and implementing the changes as compared to person who does not posses this knowledge. As legislative and regulatory environment keeps changing in the compliance field hence a person with the similar background will be easily able to cope with it. When it comes to clinical knowledge and background it will surely help a person to make sound medical decisions. Hence, I believe someone with both the administrative as well as clinical background or experience will be a good fit for a compliance manager position in healthcare facility.
