Contingency theories are related with leadership and various organisations. These theories explain the methods of better regulation of an organisation/corporation. Various internal and external factors are also optimized in order to ensure better working of an organisation.

Fiedler Contingency model explains the various facts about leadership styles. It explains the effectiveness of a leader in an organisation. It says that a leader's own style and self motivation can play an important role in deciding the positive direction of an organisation.

Leadership styles should be changed according to the situations because each and every situation is different and we can not act in same manner in each and every situation. If our leadership style matches with situational demand then only we can be called as an effective leader.

Path Goal theory also keeps main focus on flexible nature of leaders. An effective leader always analyse the situations and act accordingly. Leaders must also analyse the people working under his/her leadership. If a mutual unseen cooperation is being developed between leaders and followers then favourable outcomes can be achieved with great ease.

Path goal theory gives importance to group's satisfaction. It says that if group is being rewarded after accomplishment of some pre-decided goal then a sense of motivation starts to flow in entire group.
