Kidneys essentially regulate the ph of the blood by the secretion of H+ ions by aldosterone and ADH in the collecting duct to maintain proper pH. Also, the bicarbonate ions are generated which are essentially lost in buffering during cell metabolism. So, the options a and c are correct.
