COMMUNICATION/DIVERSITY: What factors do you think would most affect you if you were to travel to another culture?

If I traveled to another culture, the values that would affect me the most are a language barrier, traditions, customers and culture of the country I am visiting. A number of different factors such as body language and the way we conduct ourselves can just as easily be considered rude or insensitive in other cultures, making it so that our failure to understand the factors of relevance would hinder our ability to make meaningful connections with the people we meet there. The language barrier is especially a relevant factor since most countries do not use English as their main language and some individuals do not even try to learn it or utilize it in order to communicate with the others. Japanese culture is especially relevant to create the understanding of traditions, culture and how language is the factors of pride for their people and therefore, it would affect me the most.
