Starbucks aims to create and distribute environmentally sustainable goods. Starbucks integrates proactive supply chain management as one of its successful strategy.

Starbucks has embarked on four big projects to streamline their supply chain. Employees are made of

  • Preparation: Staff working in the "preparation" unit concentrate on output planning, launching of new products and replenishing.
  • Sourcing: First, there are two sections to the sourcing group: "non-coffee" and "coffee."
  • Making: The "make" division is involved in any kind of production, including in-house or contract manufacturers.
    Lastly, the "deliverer" group is made up of transportation, storage, and customer service personnel.

Organizational culture is nothing but the ideals, beliefs and expectations which are expressed in an organization through the actions of the employees. Organizational culture is an important aspect of an organisation's improved performance and success.

Starbucks ' organizational culture is about creating a great work environment by treating one another with respect and dignity. We are committed to safeguarding the environment. We always regularly prepare their staff so they will have good knowledge of the products they offer. We always focus on delivering excellent customer experience.

Any business ' success hinges on its business strategy. Marketing strategies are made taking into account all the factors such as customers, competitors, type of product etc. A company's same strategy may not fit well for different marketing conditions, hence making strategies based on changing conditions with other parameters in mind is important.

Starbucks ' business strategy is differentiation strategy and Porter's Generic Strategies focus on differentiation strategies. Differentiation strategy refers to product or service development that delivers unique benefits or features that the customers value. Also, the customers perceive to have better product than that offered by the competitors.

Focused differentiation companies are those where they deliver a very small target market for unique products. They place more emphasis on service. Starbucks focus on differentiation strategy by making products with unique features and that attracts the customers. This focuses on the consumers willing to pay more, while retaining the premium price and achieving competitive advantage. The benefit of differentiation strategy is that it helps to create value for the unique nature of the brand and the product. It helps build great customer loyalty and requires very little resources.

Starbucks succeeds in building customer loyalty by providing unique products for specific consumers and also concentrating on delivering outstanding customer service.
