Cre-lox breeding: I need some help with terminology.

Cre (+) (A2A^(flox/flox)) vs. Cre (-) (A2A^(flox/flox)). The A2A is just the receptor that they are knocking out in some mice.

I assumed that + meant that the receptor present and - meant it wasn't, but with the way the results read, it seems like the opposite? I am just finding the terminology very confusing.

Any help would be appreciated!
