The main function of the Isocitrate dehydrogenase is to ctalyse the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to \alpha -ketoglutarate.The mutation in isocitrate dehydrogenase arginine to histidine at 132(R132H) incrases the Affinity for \alpha -ketoglutarate.
