Answer #1

D: Ineffective pituitary gland

All the other condition are associated with Diabetes Type I and II

Diabetes is a condition the pancreas produces little or no insulin. Insulin is a hormone needed to allow glucose to enter cells to produce energy.

Hyperglycemia is the condition of elevated levels of blood glucose. It is a common condition in diabetes.

Sometimes fat, muscle cells of the body don’t respond well to insulin and can’t easily take up glucose from blood this leads to the increased production of insulin by the pancreas to help glucose enter cells. Over time blood glucose level gets high because it is not used up by cells. This condition is known as insulin resistance.

Insulin resistance means reduced insulin sensitivity.

Excess weight, physical inactivity, carbohydrate-rich diet are the major factor of insulin resistance. Mismanagement of these can cause type II diabetes.
