Glycerol is a fatty substance that act as a source for energy by processing through glycolysis or through gluconeogenesis.

Generally G3P is synthesized by reduction of DHAP with the help G3P dehydrogenase.From glycerol G3P is produced in which a phosphate group is added to glycerol with the help of enzyme Glycerol kinase.
