History of Plague-  It arrived in Europe in october 1347,when 12 ships from the black sea docked at the Sicilian port of Messina.Many people gathered together and met to a very horrible scene- Most of the sailor aboarding the ship were dead and those still alive were very ill and covered inblack boils that oozed blood and pus.After this, the disease had struck China,India,Persia,Syria and Egypt.In the infected there were certain swellings,either on the groinor under the armpits...others to the size of an egg, some more and some less, and these vulgar named Plague-boils.this disease is also known as Black death and it killed about approximatelyonethird (20 to 30 million) of Europe's popolation. Blood and pus seeped out of these strange swelling,which were followed by a following unpleasant symptoms which are as follows-

It is an infectious disease caused by bacteria called Yersinia pestis.This bacteria mainly found in rodents,particularly rats and in fleas that feed them.Also it is caused by the contaminated clothing or other material used by a person with plague through an opening skin.

Risk factors- it includes being bitten by fleas as well as by the rodents.Scratches or bites from infected domestic cats are risk factors.Contact with individuals with Pneumonic plague is also a risk factor for accquring the infection.

Incidence-Over 80%of United States plague is in bubonic form.In recent decades an average of seven human plague cases have been reported each year which ranges1 -7 cases per year. It occurs in all the people of all ages whether they are infants or age up to 95 though 50% cases occur in people ages 12-45 .

There are many facts which we are not knowing about the plague which are as follows

They are of different types.

The village that sacrifices Itself.

Conspiracy Theorists Used it to Persecute Jews.

It changes the World Culture.

The plague wasn't a guaranteed killer.

The Plague Bacteria Starved Fleas.

What should be done for this?

Fill holes and gaps in your home to stop mice,rat, sqirrels from getting in.Clean up your yard.Get rid of piles of leaves,wood and rocks where animals might make their homes. Use bug repellent with DEET to prevent flea bites when you hike or camp.And Streptomycin is the most effective antibiotic against Y.pestis.
