Answer #1

QUESTION 9: Telomeres - during DNA replication, part of DNA at the very end of the eukaryotic chromosomes cannot be fully copied in each replication, leaving a single stranded overhang, resulting in gradual shortening of the chromosomes. As the chromosome end wears down, to prevent this loss, the tip of the eukaryotic chromosomes have telomeres.

Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein or RNA-dependent DNA polymerase i.e its an enzyme that using RNA as a template can make DNA. At the 3' end of telomeres, It adds a species dependent sequence of telomere repeat.

THEREFORE, the options B, C, D and E all are correct statement.

Hence , the incorrect one is (a).

thank you!! Question 1 0.5 pts It has been shown that inhibition of a key chromatin remodeling complex known as NURD. by deleting one of its subunits, can result in a significant increase in the efficiency of reprogramming of somatic cells into pluripotent stem cells. The reprogramming is normally done by the induced expression of a battery of transcription factors in the somatic cells, but is typically not very efficient. Such an observation suggests that the NURD complex is normally...
