5. This is an easy one. This problem shows leading strand synthesis at the left fork of the replication bubble; the whole rig I am having trouble figuring out where to put the bases on #6 and understanding #7. Could someone please help?

5. DNA polymerase extends the primer in 5'-3' direction by adding nucleotides complementary to the template strand.
Extended sequence: 5'GGUUGCUA-GCCTAACCAGCCTCGCGACCCTAGCATG-3'

6. Okazaki fragment sequence:5'-UGCUAGGG-TCGCGAGGCTGG-3'

7. The two problems after lagging strand synthesis are
1. Okazaki fragments have to be joined together to form a complete strand: This is done by DNA ligase.
2. RNA primers have to be replaced by DNA sequence: This is done by 5'-3' exonuclease activity and 5'-3' polymerization activity of DNA polymerase.
