how is the MSL positive transcription factor regulated in fruit flies?

From my limited knowledge I know it has to do with counting X chromosomes and if two sis+ genes are detected than no MSL proteins are created.

Ans-according to our knowledge that in drosophila dosage compensation occurs by increasing the transcription of the single male chromosomes

The male specific lethal Gene occurs in this process

This process restricted to males by the splicing regulator sex lethal which function to prevent the MSL_2 PROTEIN production in females

Conclusion_ only male x chromosomes or male specific lethal Gene increases the transcription rate
