HDL stands for High density lipoprotein. These are a type of lipoproteins.These transport hundred of lipids ouside cell per HDL particle. Fats transported by these are Phospholipids, cholestrol and triglycerides. They are also called as " good cholesterol" as they transport of fats out of artery walls. Thus it also prevent arthrosclerosis.
