Answer #1

4 ) Given figures in the question are:

Concentration of original solution: 50Mm

Concentration of diluted solution: 0.1 Mm

Volume of diluted solution = 50 ml

M1V1 = M2V2

M1 = Concentration of the first solution

V1 = Volume of the first solution

M2 = Concentration of second solution

V2 = Volume of the second solution

50 * V1 = 0.1 * 50

V1 = (M2 * V2) / M1

V1 (Volume of original solution) = (0.1 * 50 ) / 50

= 0.1 ml

Volume of original solution is 0.1 ml

5) The amount of water you need to make 50 ml solution

= V2 (Volume o diluted solution) - V1 (Volume of original solution)

= 50 ml - 0.1 ml = 49.9 ml

49.9 ml water is needed
