Which of the following statements about the relationship between chromosomes, genes, chromatin, and sister chromatids is correct?

An unreplicated chromosome consists of two sister chromatids.

Genes are composed of proteins and DNA and are sections of chromatin.

None of the other statements are correct.

Answer #1

The correct option is: B (Genes are composed of proteins and DNA and are sections of chromatin)

An unreplicated chromosome contains only one chromatid, every chromosome is made up of many number of genes. but whereas DNA makes up genes which code for proteins and are sections of chromatin.

There are two types of chromatin:

Euchromatin * Loosely packed regions of chromatin which stains light Transcriptionally active chromatin Heterochromatin Densl
