Answer #1

hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis

In response to the stress, epinephrine and norepinephrine are produced from the adrenal gland then the HPA axis is stimulated, Hypothalamus releases CRH, which increases the heartbeat and other stress-related processes, the pituitary gland secretes ACTH, which acts on the adrenal cortex to release cortisol. so the answer is E) secretion of ACTH by the pituitary gland, CRH by the hypothalamus and cortisol by the adrenal glands
