The Mitochondrial Membrane is most likely to be damaged by ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) production since Oxidative Phosphorylation takes place inside Mitochondria. The ROS molecules released as wasteful accidental products of Oxidative Phosphorylation are highly reactive and are present in the highest concentrations in the mitochondria. Therefore, the mitochondrial membrane is most susceptible to damage by Oxidative Phosphorylation.
