Propose a mechanism for how the three different temperatures affected cellular respiration.

(The lab consisted of Carbon Dioxide being given to meal worms at Room Temperature, in Ice, and in a warm Incubator.)

Cellular respiration results in release of corbon di oxide through citric acid cycle in which acetyl co A is converted into citrate by release of corbon di oxide

In optimum temperature the respiration will be faster and more carbon di oxide will be released

Meal worm is cold blooded animals and temperature will influence much in the cold blooded animal metabolic rate. Higher the temperature ,higher the metabolic rate ( cellular respiration) and it will release high amount of carbon di oxide

Hence in the worms kept at room temperature will have medium amount of CO2 release in to the environment. In low temperature , less corbon di oxide will be released and in high temperature more corbon di oxide will be released.

Warm incubator - more CO2

Icebath - less CO2
