Answer #1

ANS. 34 - (B) Metabolic Acidosis. Taking the 3 bottles of Aspirin pills will result in the Drug Induced Metabolic Acidosis because taking too much drugs disrupts the acid-base equilibrium in the body. Other acidosis are not caused due to the excessive drug administration.

ANS. 35 - (C) Defect in the system of recognition "self vs non-self". Autoimmune diseases results due to the failure of immune system of an organism to recognize its healthy cell generating the immune response against these own healthy cells. Hypersensitivity involves allergic reactions caused by the immunological molecules.

ANS. 36 - (D) Epinephrine IM Stat. The first treatment given to anaphylactic shock is epinephrine injection because the epinephrine can reduce the high levels allergic reactions in the body.

ANS. 37 - (B) Kidney and Liver. Kidney involves in acid-base metabolism by the excretion of Hydrogen ions into the urine whereas Liver involves in the metabolism of organic acids and ammonium.
