MECHANISM OF MTORC1 ACTIVATION:-

The target of MTORC1 controls cell growth and metabolism in response to nutrients energy levelsband growth factors and it  is activated  by the small GTPase Ras homologue enriched in brain and inhibited by PRAS40.Mechanistic target of rapamycin MTOR is a sensor of metabolic stress and integrator of environmental cues and activation of MTORC1 is triggered by oxidative stress amino-acid levels and endosomal traffic to the lysosome by small GTPases such as Rab4A.MTOR is intracellular signaling pathway  important in regulating the cell cycle.it is directly related to cellular quiescence, proliferation, cancer, and longevity. mTORC1synthesis also known as mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 or mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 is a protein complex that functions as a nutrient sensor and controls protein synthesis.
