Spliceosome recognize 5' splice site (U1-snRNP binds to 5' splice site), Branch point (Branch point binding protein binds to branch point) and also recognize 3' splice site. Initially, E complex or commitment complex is formed and later active complex or C complex once formed, transesterification reactions are catalyzed by U6-snRNP.

Ans 2) The correct option is "D".

During the prokaryotic translation initiation step, the 30S (small subunit) subunit of the ribosome binds to the purine rich Shine-Dalgarno sequence which is located upstream of the start codon (AUG) . This alignment confirms that start codon is in correct position within the ribosome and only then the IF-2-GTP complex binds the initiator f-Met-tRNA to transfer it to the P site of the ribosome. Thus,the remaining options are incorrect.
